DOTUN ADEGBITE – Senior Associate KPMG Professional Services.
Dotun is a Senior Associate in the Infrastructure and Government unit of KPMG Professional Service’s Business Advisory Services division. He is an experienced business advisor with about six (6) years varied experience covering strategy development, strategy implementation and monitoring, sectoral industry review and solution development, institutional restructuring, and business operations optimization.
His core areas of competence include: strategy development and implementation monitoring, organization design & human capital optimization, business process analysis & improvement, project and program management, change management, diagnostic review; as well as industry review and analysis.
Dotun has been involved in the provision of business advisory services to clients in various industries including housing, public sector, telecommunications, oil and gas, amongst others.
Over the past few years, he has been actively involved as team member/ team lead on several housing industry related projects such as the diagnostic review of a federal government owned parastatal focused on housing provision, review of the Nigerian housing industry and development of a proposed industry model incorporating learnings from selected benchmark countries. He has also worked as team lead on projects to assist clients gain a better understanding of the demand and supply issues in select locations in the Nigerian real estate market.
Dotun possesses a bachelor’s degree in Building from the Obafemi Awolowo University and has participated in several training workshops, both locally and offshore.
JACQUES RAICHES
Mr. Jacques RaÎche is a mortgage consultant working for Abbey Building Society Plc.
He is a Housing Finance Expert and has worked for some 35 years in the sector of which the last 8 in Africa.
His work in Africa includes the following:
- Implementation of a mortgage guaranteed fund in Mali;
- Manage the Ghana Primary Mortgage Market Program, the first IFC’s housing program in Africa;
- Advise many international lenders such as FMO, Shelter Afrique and OPEC funds on some of their African investments
- Advise the private and the public sectors on housing strategy in many African countries.
Finally, Mr. RaÎche sits on various Audit Committees, Corporate Governance Committees and Boards of Companies. One of them is a mortgage back securities operations in Mexico.
Within Abbey Building Society Plc, he has been instrumental in supporting the implementation of a comprehensive housing strategy enabling them to meet the goals and objectives set by the Board of Directors.
OLU ODUGBEMI – M.D/C.E.O, Strategy & Leadership Development Consultancy
Olu Odugbemi is the MD/CEO, Strategy & Leadership Development Consulting Limited. He is an alumnus of SAP Academy, Johannesburg and INSEAD Strategic Management of Service.
He holds a B.Sc (1st Class Honors.) from the prestigious University of Ibadan and also an M.Sc (Distinction Honors.) from Imperial College. He also has an ACA and ACIT. His multidisciplinary background is complemented by cross functional business experience in Treasury & FI, Strategy, Audit & Management Consulting, Corporate and Retail Lending.
He was Head, Oil & Gas Upstream, Power Division and Mortgage Lending sector and was involved at various times in the development of all corporate and retail SBU strategies during his nine years engagement at management level in one of the Big 3 banks. He is now a consultant to several banks here in Nigeria.
OSARO EGHOBAMIEN (SAN) - Partner, Perchstone & Graeys
Osaro Eghobamien is admitted to practice in England & Wales and Nigeria. He is holder of an LLB. (Hon) (Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London (1988)) Osaro was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1989, and later admitted to practice in Nigeria in 1991.
Following his call to the Nigerian bar, Osaro joined the litigation practice, Sofunde, Osakwe, Ogundipe & Belgore, and got the opportunity to develop and hone his notorious advocacy skills. He later joined the firm of Bentley, Edu & Co., managing that firm’s Trademark and General Litigation Practice.
As Head of Etti, Edu & Co’s litigation practice, Osaro quickly carved out a niche as an intellectual property litigation Lawyer, recording impressive victories in this growing area of litigation practice.
Osaro is a founding partner of Perchstone & Graeys, and spends most of his time advising commercial clients on contentious issues. He represents the interests of clients in our regular courts, from the High Court all the way to the Supreme Court, and is primarily responsible for handling arbitral proceedings, particularly in respect of oil and gas and finance matters.
Osaro is clear that his passion for law and litigation developed early, as he watched his father, Alfred Eghobamien (SAN), work his way up the ladder of legal success. Like his father, Osaro is driven by the desire to distinguish himself in practice, and would naturally be pleased to achieve the status of Senor Advocate of Nigeria.
Osaro brings his extensive international experience, and his deep familiarity with English common law, in assisting with the development of Nigerian law. He takes every available opportunity to teach law and legal principles to young legal talent, and is particularly focused on developing a strong, durable and sustainable law practice.
Osaro advises on Financial Services and is editor of the in-house publication, ‘Nigeria Financial Services Review’. He represents some of Nigeria’s major financial institutions.
OSITA OKONKWO
Mazi. Ositadinma Okonkwo is currently the Deputy Managing Director in charge of Business Development and Operations as well as Coordination at Shelter Afrique, a position he has held since November 2008. Prior to assuming this position, he held various senior positions in the company, including Director of Operations (2000-2008); Senior Project Officer and Acting Director of Operations between 1995 and 1999; Project Officer (1990-1995). Since January 2009, Mazi Okonkwo has been the Acting Managing Director of Shelter Afrique.
As the Director of Operations, Mr. Okonkwo had the overall responsibility for developing and managing the loan portfolio, products and business development, and advising on strategic orientation of Shelter Afrique. He has seen to the funding by Shelter Afrique of more than 259 projects in over 25 member countries with aggregate loan value in excess of US$300 million.
